For us, working is always fun. Especially when we are working by doing some holidays. So yeah, we've been working on Homogenic's video clip "Happy Without You" that will be made in another place, Bintan, beside Batu Karas.
We ate a lot. Like, A LOT (especially Dina, during her pregnancy). Hahahahaaha. And definetely so much laughs and sweet and sweats moment. Even Manda (after this holiday) is so tanned! So this is the moment that wonderful feeling you get as you're standing in the middle of the fairway, the summer sun and salt air refreshing your soul and washing away all the worries "back home" and you're thinking "It doesn't get any better than this!

Space and missile is a band which have rock instrumental concept with post rock instrumental genre. Bands likes EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, TELEFON TEL AVIV, FLICA, GOD IS AN ASTRONOUT, MUTE MATH, RATATAT, TE, edIT, these bands musicality have a great influence for space music’s, for both arrangements and song’s mixing. Recording process and song’s mixing for all space songs completely be done by the members of the band itself, or it known as DIY by using a simple software’s and hardware’s, but not forgotten the quality of the music itself. Bedroom music technique which makes the members of Space and Missile band comfortable to explore more the creativity in creating our music, so we can manage to complete 4 songs in our first mini album entitled “IT IS A SIGN OF INSANITY” with the hit single entitled “free”.
Bottlesmoker take a concept of bedroom music. Produce music in their own room, using custom toy equipment and keyboard to create a simple electronic sounds.
Mum, Manitoba, Tunng, The Album Leaf and Isan mostly has influence their music. Beside net label artist such as observatoryonline.org has become main influence and important example for them to create music. Through massive internet service, bottlesmoker has walking confidently on myspace world. 1st appearance in 2003 a.k.a DJ Robot, stand alone amateur residence DJ for a blasting regular indie music event called "Monday Mayhem" in Parc, Jakarta. With no capable to mix the song, he spin mostly a popular culture music from late 70's to 90's, from cheesy 80's new romantics to electronic pop amazingly. DJ Robot also a founder of a tragic Synthpop label "HFMF records" in 2004 and bring an unpredictable success to his 1st band "Goodnight Electric". Along with it, HFMF records falling down to pieces. He no longer spinning for Monday Mayhem after Parc's closed forever in 2004 and start to spinning for small indie music event in Jakarta or other Countries. Now he'll try to build HFMF records back for good. Meanwhile he became a private DJ for movie wrapped party and some cheesy 80's reunion party....
Founded in 1997, MOBILDEREK still ORIGINALITy to provide an in-play-music song. Some of the albums and single have been out until now and still produce a breakthrough the new element in the music.
The band has released 3 albums and several mini-album and single and single remixes. Innovation is in the running wheel MOBILDEREK career. Established circa 2009 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Born in 1991, Hilzam Hindami & Harry Septiandry as his nickname call “Munir” make musical imagination in the name of DO EAR.
Started when Hilzam produced some minimal music and Munir as his friend same too produced but he isn’t producing some minimal music but actually he was produce some Drum & Bass music at while they were still in high school. Someday when Munir shared his work to Hilzam and Hilzam added some minimal atmospheric effect of his Munir’s work and make that good tunes. Hilzam initiative to joined with Munir to make some Drum & Bass music with minimal music to added. Munir agreed with hilzam’s initiative and DO EAR was born in end of year 2009. After they were graduated at high school in mid of 2010 and they were invited to play in JUNGLIZTA CREW to celebrate one year Junglizta Podcast Anniversary. Then they played well. DTX, Mr. Dymz, Tranquility, Digital Ivy, Soundboutique Crew, & OPENLABS Crew, absolutely they are full supported from them who where DO EAR learned very much from them.
And now they are making some Deep & Minimal Drum & Bass sound with some their music influence’s
Fadil Pinandita and Irsan Ramadhan were met in the middle of the year 2008. It was the same visions in music that inspired the two of them to join forces in early 2009 as Astral Escalation. Having world class DJs such as Above & Beyond; Kyau & Albert; Gareth Emery; Rank1; Super8 & Tab; and many more as influences and also Riri Mestica and LTN ,as their respected seniors and mentors, made their music’s rich and surely will heat up everyone in the world.
Even though trance is their basic genre, Astral Escalation also bring the crowds to fully experience techno and progressive sounds. Jastria Rahmat (a.k.a. ijash) and Fadil Pinandita (part of Astral Escalation) are known first as Trance DJs and producers. Beside their passion in Trance music, Drum & Bass also being a musical genre that they love. In late 2010, both of them were inspired to start bring out the other passion beneath them, to play and compose Drum & Bass music. That’s how ‘Jastria and Fadil’ were born.
With Jastria’s style of Jungle and Fadil’s Liquid, also their interest in Dubstep, ‘Jastria and Fadil’ serves quite an unique fusion of Drum & Bass sounds. The uniqueness is shown through their first remix of Homogenic’s Sampai Jumpa. Not just in the sounds of their songs, the whole mash-up between Liquid, Jungle and Dubstep is also shown through their DJ Set’s performance.

Debut Album, "Epic Simphony (2004)"
Software yang kita pakai waktu itu 80% propellerhead reason 2.5 dan 20% fruity loops, lupa versi berapa :p
Proses rekaman, mixing, dan mastering dilakukan sepenuhnya oleh engineer Dicky Ucok di Yess Studio. Berhubung waktu itu belum punya laptop, jadi saya bawa PC dari rumah dan rekam loops homogenic satu-satu. =D)
Semua instrumen dan vokal direkam ke pita analog 8 track Studer, dulu saya bingung kenapa mesti pake pita analog kalo toh finishing akhirnya juga diproses di komputer/digital. Ternyata meski proses akhirnya digital, tapi colorization/pewarnaan suara dari tape analog, mixing desk, dan outboard effects masih tetap didapat, jadinya bisa memberi "warmth" ke sound homogenic yang sebagian besar digital. Kalo sekarang sih bisa langsung pake software emulasi Studer A800 Multichannel Tape Recorder.
Male vocal di track penutup "Saga of Your Breath" di isi oleh Toma Pratama dari Mocca, senior kita di FFWD Records :D.
Guitar Riffs di track "Taste of Harmony" dan "Spread of the Lights" di isi oleh Anto Arief, mastermind band funky, bluesy, psychedelic: 70's Orgasm Club.
2nd Album, "Echoes of the Universe (2006)"
Seluruh draft materi produksi dikerjakan sepenuhnya di propellerhead Reason 3, saat itu saya dan Dina lagi benar-benar keranjingan dengan software ini, apalagi dengan kemudahan untuk saling bertukar materi lagu setengah jadi melalui e-mail :D)
Proses rekaman dan mixing dilakukan di Aru Studio oleh Adhit Android, yang sampai sekarang masih tetap menjadi produser dan technical manager Homogenic dan akhirnya startup studio rekaman / developer software musik bersama saya dan satu orang teman sekarang.
Proses rekaman dan mixing album kedua ini bisa dibilang hampir 100% digital, memanfaatkan routing digital antara Reason dan Cubase melalui rewire, dan sound processing melalui software plugins.
3rd Album, "Let a Thousand Flowers Bloom (2010)"
Seluruh draft materi album ketiga dikerjakan hampir semuanya di propellerhead Reason 4.0, kecuali lagu "Surrealism" yang dikerjakan di Ableton Live 7.
Proses mixing dan mastering di album ke-3 ini lumayan ribet, semula dikerjakan seluruhnya oleh Adhit Android di Infinite Labs Studio, namun berhubung hasil mixing yang dikerjakan terlalu mirip dengan konsep digital di album ke-2, berdasarkan beberapa pertimbangan akhirnya mixing dipoles kembali oleh budi badhot dari massive studio. Selain karena pergantian vokalis dari Risa ke Manda juga lumayan memakan waktu.
Karena konsep album ke-3 yang lebih "band" dan "analog", take drum dilakukan secara live, tentunya dengan heavy editing dan glitching yang membuat karakter drum akustik masih tetap bisa "match" dengan konsep musik elektronik Homogenic. Untuk masing-masing instrumen, dilakukan teknik re-amping agar bisa didapat karakter suara analog meski menggunakan instrumen-instrumen digital.
Proses pengerjaan album ini banyak dibantu selain oleh Kang Tuteng yang menjadi vocal director semenjak album pertama, juga banyak dibantu oleh Arina dari Mocca untuk aransemen vokal di track "Happy Without You" dan "Is it love". Selain male vocal dari Widi dari Maliq & D'Essentials di lagu Best Day.
Digital Ivy started in 2005, playing and experimenting with trip hop and ambient sounds. As the years pass by the genrewas growing from IDM to Shoegaze, and lately 2010 a mixture of drum and bass/dub. Sometimes the lines between genre's are blurred, but that is how Digital Ivy is.
Fix Future is M. Akbar. founded in 2009, Bandung Indonesia, inspired by the mountains which surrounds Bandung's city landscape, it imagined to create a wide echo with a sunlight came from the afternoon's horizon behind the mountains.
The beta version of Fix Future's first EP called "Logociti" was released in 2010 (only one copy), at CODEX CODE exhibition (yogyakarta) in a form of book art with the music came from audio cassete tape, contains 5 tracks.
before Akbar found the noise punk band AstoneA in 2003, he started to make music using string guitar and recorded on a tape recorder since year 2000 with a name Lonely Boy records.
in 2006 he brought his music to full band version with his 2 campus mates called Pettybone, Akbar made the lyrics and play bass and his friends Rafky Arifin create the guitar riffs, Bobby Nugraha play drum, but it was only last for one year after Rafky's graduation day, they separated and leave 10 songs.
in 2007 he returned to his room and created Future Fear, where he produced and recorded his acoustic guitar songs digitally while continuing his VJing project Killafternoon and his video artworks some songs also rearrange by Deni Gedang fro Pyratus who play guitar in AstoneA.
Fix Future is also an extended version of Future Fear's music, using high intension of audio sampling, acoustic guitar, organ sound, and voice of a female and male in distance. which create a dreamy sound. in the vocal section he also helped by his imaginary friend name Muchtar Hidayat and his wife Lucida, and Kristin Lim.
Base and born in Bandung in year 2010, start from rama rival meet dimas adista on one of the most dj studio in bandung. This 2 new raising up dj have plan to make a “duo live djs” that play lot of synth and effect on the gigs and like to make something new.
Day after day rama and dimas finally get each other skills, and decide to named they project as “DEADMONO” its mean “switching off the mono into the stereo type sounds.
DEADMONO start his career by producing EDM (electro dance music) like making Original track – Bootleg – Remix also Colaborating with some musician in bandung. And also in this year DEADMONO already win some remix competition.
Inside the DEADMONO scenes is, Rama RivaL as a Beat crasher – efx beepers – MC. Dimas Adista as a Loopers – Beatbox – and Synth slicers.

Started to produce in 2001,started as a hip hop producer then moving to Australia switch to produce electro house and came to Indonesia to produce Drum N Bass. Now i got few tunes that's electro and house inspired Drum N Bass sound.

Dari lomba karaoke yang membuat Manda dan Dina harus duet Sinta-Jojo, Ucay (Rocket Rockers) ngerap ala Akon, dan yang pasti, suasana seru yang dimeriahkan oleh "Man of The Show", Gebeg. Semuanya terlihat senang pada malam itu. Dan yang pasti, buka bersama itu menjadi satu kenangan tersendiri bagi semua yang datang pada malam itu.
